This is my Bible, God's Holy Word, His love letter to my heart.
• it speaks of His movement through His-story to save me;
• it speaks of His redemption for all in Christ Jesus;
• it speaks of His concern revealed in the infilling, abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
Today, I hunger and thirst for a relationship with Christ Jesus, and I am open to Him changing my life through it.

Read the entire Bible in one Year, from Genesis to Revelation. Check for the scripture readings each week.Sunday, November 16 - James 5 | Jeremiah 29-30 | Psalm 133

Tuesday, November 18 - 1 Peter 2 | Jeremiah 33-34 | Psalm 135

40 Days of Prayer for our Nation - Home

Beginning on September 26, 2008 we are beginning an special emphasis of 40 Days of Prayer for our Nation. This special emphasis will run from September 26, 2008 right through election day 2008. Plan to take 10 minutes per day to pray for our nation, our leaders and the selection process for the future. God promises in His Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

We encourage you to join other believers from this church and from churches across this great country in 40 days of prayer for our nation. Here are some of the benefits of this prayer focus:

1. We will be united in prayer as a church

2. God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

3. America will be impacted by the prayers of millions.

4. Everyone can participate.

5. Our nation will never be the same.

Additional information on this prayer focus is found on the Evangelism and Outreach tab on the front page of this website. Click here to read it now.

Preparing for Worship - Pastor's Corner

When we gather for worship, we gather to praise, pray, study and seek the Lord's face. This "worship" is done best when we are adequately prepared for the day and for what is going to take place. To give guidance in this process you may check the following for assistance.

A prayer for preparation:
Lord Jesus Christ, by your grace please change us as we worship you. May the words we speak and sing, and the Bible's words to which we listen, bite deeply. Let them penetrate into the deep reaches of thought and feeling, and there take up residence and become the essence of our being. May we all be changed and resourced in ways we may not understand yet which will overflow into the lives of those around us. Through Christ Jesus our Redeemer, AMEN.

Asia-Pacific: From the Rising of the Sun **
by Brent Cobb

The Asia-Pacific Region extends from Japan’s northernmost island to New Zealand’s southernmost island near Antarctica. It reaches from Myanmar’s shared border with Bangladesh eastward to Tahiti. For over 100 years, committed Nazarenes in this region have been proclaiming the message of the Son to those living in darkness. Savor their stories of victory, hope, and incredible courage. Then rejoice in the faithfulness of our timeless God.

Mexico and Central America: A Tapestry of Triumph
by Tim Crutcher

The history of the Church of the Nazarene in the Mexico and Central America Region is deep and varied. It is a place that has experienced profound tragedy and remarkable triumph. Yet woven through it all is the faithful presence of God, whose wisdom and sovereignty has brought the denomination to the place of abundance and maturity it experiences today. As you read this book, ponder the wonderful way in which God works to weave a tapestry of triumph out of difficult circumstances.

South America: A Harvest of Holiness
Compiled by Christian Sarmiento

What does it take to produce a bountiful spiritual harvest? God’s faithful laborers on the South America Region will tell you it takes prayer, commitment, perseverance, strategy, and constant dependence on God. In the early 1900s, Nazarene missionaries traveled to South America with the life-changing message of the gospel. That message took hold, and after a century of service we are reaping a tremendous harvest--a harvest of holiness.

GIVING - One of the four main focuses of the NMI (Nazarene Missions International) - Missions - NMI

Just as the earliest Christians “pooled their resources so that each person's need was met,” (Acts 2:45, The Message) believers today eagerly share what they have to bring new members into God’s family.

In more than 150 world areas, Nazarenes’ passion for mission compels them to give in all kinds of ways: volunteering time, praying for all people to know Christ, generously sharing resources, and passing on the stories of the church, to name just a few.

One simple and essential way to express mission passion is financial support. NMI has designed a bunch of opportunities to support mission workers and meet human needs around the world through resource sharing.

And no one wants to be left out: a Zimbabwean woman brings the family’s only chicken to the altar during a mission offering; a United States teenager picks up a part-time job so he can give to the same offering; a Brazilian student donates her new computer to the church; a Korean businessman gives some of his profit to World Evangelism Fund; a group of Jamaican eight-year-olds offer a can of coins they’ve collected from friends and neighbors.

Nazarenes around the world generously share their resources to expand Christ’s kingdom on earth!

This video is an effective representation of this focus.

We believe ... - What We Believe

These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true. They are common to Christians world-wide:

We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
We believe that man is in need of a Savior, and that Jesus Christ gave His life for us.
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Core Values - Who We Are

We Are a Christian People

As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in embracing the historic Trinitarian creedal statements of Christian faith. We value our Wesleyan–Holiness heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience.

   We Are a Holiness People

God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called by various terms including "entire sanctification" and "baptism with the Holy Spirit"—cleansing us from all sin; renewing us in the image of God: empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves; and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.

  We Are a Missional People

We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission (a) begins in worship, (b) ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, (c) encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and (d) prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian education.
